Yamapi to appear on Hey, Hey, Hey

An email was sent to Fan Club members yesterday announcing that Yamapi will be making a solo appearance on Heyx3, the recording will be on Sunday June 27 and giving details to ballot for tickets. There was no mention of NEWS.

There is no official confirmation as yet to what this is about but there are rumours of a new solo single and concert tour.

my opinion is that after Yamapi's comments at the Family Club, they definitely know NEWS fans aren't happy with the lack of NEWS as a group, and they're trying to keep Yamapi's upcoming solo work as low key as they can for now.

and in his nikki this week, didn't he say something along the lines of "I want to do concerts. When there is a concert, you'll all come won't you?" So....

Pi does not drop a hint like that, for no reason....

So, if nothing else, I guess he was right when he said News fans have to wait...... and that does not make me happy at all.

and he said that he won't betray NEWS, maybe he said because people may think that he'll leave NEWS and do solo, it's just an assurance that even he will do some solo concert, his still be in the group and thre will still be NEWS.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pi solo work, and the idea of a new release makes me happy, but... what's up with this way of doing things? Argh.

I'm actually disappointed as well. As a leader, Yamapi has the duty to take care of his members, but it seems (from what I have observed) that he's just getting more and more solo work (to the point where it looks like he cannot be bothered with them anymore =/), why not a new NEWS single or a new NEWS concert? Then he can sing his solo songs, do his solo dances; it's really a win win not only for his fans but also for his NEWS fans.

I am a Yamapi fan, but I'm MORE of a NEWS fan but I am quite disappointed at the moment, everything they have released has been really mediocre compared to other J.E groups (and I don't even want to go down the path of comparison, but I can't help it :P). I believe, if they had tried even abit more harder to make fans happy (I dunno caught up in a while for dinner, cos it seems they do that best)or let us know that they still exist as a group, then that would make me more relieved.

For now, Yamapi's words mean nothing to me, I need to see physical evidence. All talk, no do leads to nowhere.

I'm sorry this whole comment had nothing to do with him going on Hey!x3 But since he's going on by himself, hope he's 6x as hilarious to make up for the other members that aren't there with thim.

Why can't we all just relax!! We all love Pi and he's keeping busy which is good! If he says he won't abandon NEWS then trust him. Trust is a 2 way street people! It's only been 4 months since they released Sakura Girl! FOUR WHOLE MONTHS! not long enough that we can't endure!

Well this is good news =)

Although after I got happy I was a bit disappointed as well, I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for some NEWS activities, but either way with Ryo coming out with a new single with K8 there wasn't much hope of NEWS doing much since they can't have Ryo totally flatlined all over the place.

Either way, I wish him luck if he does come out with a new single, I actually did like Loveless, I still don't know why it didn't sell as well...

Now makes sense about Pi saying in his Nikki that he was writing some lyrics. And i know i should be happy for him releasing a solo single. But sorry, above all the solo works and duets i prefer NEWS as a whole.

And i'm counting on him in being interesting at Hey!3x instead of always being serious and expressionless!

I dont think its Yamapi's fault, I dont think he made this decision, I just think his solo work was wrong timing, it was a bad move for johnnys.

the fans are just anxious now, you cant take that away from them because they had been waiting for so long, I know fans like us can wait for a long time if johnnys would reassure us, and I know yamapi already did that but they should mention about their future plans, so we have something look forward to, then fans wouldnt feel this way :(

yea it's kinda odd making an appearance without any further info. about a new single or whatsoever. thus it makes me more curious to know this. well in my opinion. I LOVE PI, he's the reason why i became a JE fan. but whenever i listen to NEWS' songs i realize that I REAlly LOVE THEIR VOICES. it's total impact was just amazing. that's why i'm still hoping for more NEWS. more NEWS plus more Pi equals to happiness <3

:))) yay Pi. I miss seeing him on screen so much ... if he didn't have his nikki I swear I'd wonder if he was alive sometimes.

My two cents. Having some control over what he does as a solo artist doesn't mean he has more or less power to affect the lives and careers of others. IMO, if Pi had his way, NEWS would probably be touring Asia at the moment. xD;; or maybe he'd be off in NY learning dance.

I believe that if J&A wanted to, they could make a NEWS tour and more group activity happen regardless of who has a drama/movie/concert/musical in the works. They've done it before with other groups and with NEWS. So yes, the fact that they're letting NEWS take a backseat to everything else is definitely worrying.

But i must admit that they not strong enough to do a project without yamapi. .both members and fans. .they dEpend too much on pi. .
I think because of that reason JE gave the other members more solo project than a group. .so they can be strong as an individual artist too. .so the people will see that they talented. .when they did a work as group. .they will stronger as NEWS. .because NEWS are six members. .not just yamapi and his members. .i want people to realized it. .
So when pi want to do solo. .NEWS still strong as NEWS. .although we love NEWS more but we cant help it when pi decided to do a solo. .its his dream after all. .everyone deserve to reach his dream. .

Lets wait for NEWS,believe them. .hope they will stronger when they back as NEWS. .and for yamapi,do your best. .but dont forget to return to your home(NEWS). .we wait for you. .you are NEWS leader,our leader. .we believe you. .so take it seriously.

ROFL. All I can say is that I'll wait. I have gone this far unto waiting and there seems a rays of light in Pi's words and I wanna believe him. Like everybody here I love Pi but I love NEWS as a group more!

Last sentence.

The word used was 我们 which means 'us'.

So the sentence reads 'I also hope that everyone support us to have concerts earlier'.

Maybe Pi will be on because its an SP or something? Or maybe a new solo single for him, but I'm trying to convince myself hoping that the solo concert rumour is false. Since Pi used 'us' in his jweb anyway.

there is no 'us' - that seems to have been added by the Chinese translator. That kanji does not appear in the Japanese version. So that seems to be where the confusion is coming from, the Chinese translation which added 'us'.

i think the last thing news want to see is the fans dividing themselves into "i love pi." and "i hate pi" sides. i mean to me it doesn't seems fair to yamapi. i don't really think that he is the one that plan his own activities or sort. the agency usually has more say in this right?

well i guess we have to wait till that day to know what's yamapi doing on HEYx3 with arashi.

then again sometimes i feel that yamapi is like contradicting himself in terms of what he says and what he does. its like here he says he wanted more news activities but yet he seems to get more solo works these days. geez. ):
