Hi everyone, I just want to let you know that there's this wonderful community out there named [livejournal.com profile] arashiproject
They are basically a community built for the revival of Arashi dead links,but right now they're also doing a huge revival project for Newshfan's videos which were multi-fandom's

So for old fans who still have those treasures, let's combine our strength together to preserve it for the next generation haha~ and they're basically calling for as many mirrors as possible, so if you happen to see that the files you have are already uploaded, please don't be discouraged :)
and for new fans, I hope you can find the files that you're looking for & have fun ^^

Hi!

We're [livejournal.com profile] arashiproject and we work in reuploading the dead subbed files made by old subbing teams, in the respect of their rules.

We have opened a new masterposts for Newshfan subs, you can read everything in this entry.
If you have any of the missing files, please let us know in the appropriate masterpost (we had to make 8 masterposts just for Newshfan as there are so much releases!)

Membership is moderated, just click join and wait for approval.

Feel free to advertise this in other Johnny's communities as Newshfan subs covers basically every Johnny's groups :)

NEWS Facebook Group

Hi All

I've created a Facebook Private Group for NEWS fans as I wasn't able to find one initially.
It's called NEWS Yonin (NEWS 4p). (I've put up 3 questions in order to avoid spammers from joining.)
It's not a FB page as the new algorithm doesn't pop up on our feed unless we have lots of interactions with it.
With a FB Group , We can get a notification once someone has posted something.

I've gotten the blessing from the mods at [livejournal.com profile] news_jpop [livejournal.com profile] 4newsfans [livejournal.com profile] koyashigedake [livejournal.com profile] koyama_daily

The FB Group would be centered around 4 pax News and if there are any interesting articles about Japan.(e.g. 10 best spots for Hanami/offers/travel tips etc )
Negative controversial topics/gossips will not be posted and will be removed.

The aim is to reach out to more NEWS fans that are on FB more than LJ, seeing that HSJ, Arashi, SMAP etc other groups are so active there.

  • Will mainly be linking back to LJ posts from news_jpop/4newsfans + the other news member individual pages.

  • Members will be allowed to post their own links, will not only be posted by the mod/owner.

  • No hyperlinking of the downloads directly -- plus I believe it's against FB policy and gets the page shut down quicker.. which we all don't want.

  • Create meet ups/events

for LJ posts, please share the URL so that we can maintain the f-lock on the posts.

The idea sprung when I previously posted about a possible meet up in 2018, should there be anniversary con.
Obviously, nothing is confirmed and I do not want to get anybody hopes up, neither do I want to intentionally offend anyone.

News International Forum (NIF), a community that started around 2008 for overseas fans, would like to actively share NEWS and Tegomass love again all over the world!

We will be expanding our community through different channels (FB, Twitter, Livejournal etc.) and we are in need of new members to be part of our initial team (moderators, translators and subbers) and help us formulate a long-term road map for the group.

New NEWS community

Hello, everyone!

In September of last year we launched a new and actively moderated NEWS community for all fans. We are aware of the various other resources for news and media scattered around and outside of LiveJournal, but we hope to still make this community a spot where we can gather them all in one convenient place. Just as importantly, we also hope to make it a place for fans to actively interact with each other again aside from just being a resource site.

The moderators will do their best to oversee the posts, update the calendar, and organize masterposts, but of course a community cannot be run just by mods. To make a fan community for fans and by fans possible, we ask for everyone joining to share any info, media, fanwork, or start discussions (as long as they abide by the rules!). Please lend a helping hand to other fans who may not have access to all the information and resources!

The community is starting out modestly and it is far from perfect, but if possible we'd love for everyone to join and participate in this effort to build up and revive the NEWS Livejournal community.
