Cool report! I went to NewS on 1/4, which show did you go to? I went to the afternoon one! I think I was the only non-Asian girl though...^_^;;;
You sat in the stands? The second floor? I was in the first floor, but the arena seats, not center. My seat was awesome because I was high enough to see the whole arena and low enough to have really good views of them and I was about halfway between the front stage and backstage so there was a mini stage/area set up right in front of where I was sitting so I got to be really close to all of them! XD
I had a really good time too, they were awesome live. I loved Kusano's solo especially (Kusano's my favorite member XD), plus the lights were purple-y and I love purple too! XD I liked it when they were shooting each other with guns and stuff near the beginning best. XD XD
Re Goods: Were these your first times to Johnny's concerts? All the ones I've been to sell all the goods in separate lines (makes sense but kind of sucks too). I've been to Arashi and V6 concerts as well and they did the same thing there. And yeah, the Johnny's shop in Harajuku sells out of stuff REALLY fast; they were out of some of the new Okada (V6) photocards already (I was there looking for some on Wednesday)! It's not crowded if you go on a regular, non-holiday weekday. I think it might get crowded much later in the day 4-6pm because that's when girls get out of school, but around 11am is okay.
I'm sorry you didn't get to catch anything, I didn't either even though one of the balls from NANDE x 2 Dame landed in my row, 5 girls down and the signed board that Kusano threw in my section landed to the girl sitting two rows behind me and she was in the same seat as me in that row!!
I went to the noon show on 1.4, so you probably went to the show after me (at 16:00??). ^__^
Yeah, I sat in the 2nd floor stands, kinda crappy, but since I'm not a member of the fanclub I had to rely on Yahoo Auctions. I had to settle for kinda bad seats so I could see NEWS twice and Ryo's solo concert as well. ^.^
I thought it was really pretty to just look out on the arena and see all of the rainbow pen lights....I wanted a picture just of that cause it was really pretty.
And yeah, these were my first Johnny's concerts. I've seen w-inds. concerts twice and also Kimeru 4 times (he's kind of a lesser known Japanese singer though) and also a bunch of musicals and usually it's just a bunch of tables where when you get to the front you can just ask for whatever you want.
Hmm....looking forward to hopefully moving to Japan this summer so I can finally join the JE fanclub and hopefully get better seats to the next concerts. ^__^
Oh~,i was really hoping to read anything about dear Ryo chan's first solo ^ ^

It was actually quite embarrassing for me to read that entry again since it's been almost 5 years since then, lol. Actually I've been living in Japan for the past 4 years and have seen NEWS and Ryo countless times since then but it was interesting for me to re-read that report since it was my first time seeing them. Ano~,sorry to bother you again *very shy*,but i want to ask about something please,were NEWS concerts really in the same week\period that Ryo chan has his solo concert? wow..i read that "Happy NEWS Year 2006" was on 4 & 5 January 2006 before Ryo chan's solo and then again after it,so it make me a little confused O_o,didn't he have a normal solo concert - like the ones that held this days in certain days & many show and so - or it was only one day? ^ ^

I believe Ryo's solo concert was only 1 day. He had his concert in the morning, and then NEWS had two concerts in the afternoon and night on the same day. I don't know if NEWS had other performances for "Happy NEWS Year 2006" in other cities since I only went to the Yokohama shows. Ryo's solo concert's content was completely different and it was definitely a true "solo" con, but he was so busy that they probably had no choice but to have it during the same time was the "Happy NEWS Year 2006" concerts. I hope he'll have one again sometime. ^__^
