Johnny's shop:
Do's: use special forms to fill in numbers of the pictures you want. Don't forget to write a group name in the front top area.
Don't forget to check the small park - it's small triangle at the map posted in previous comment - if there's a line of people there. If there are, there should be a staff member with time tickets. If not - you can go straight to the shop.

Dont's: you're not allowed to take pictures of the shop. Including inside and outside. Well, technically you still can and it's really tempting, but please don't.

Same don't is for Family Club too, though they're less strict with this rule. There's no line and you can enter freely in case there's no preparation for an event. In this case you just won't be able to go through swarms of fangirls :)

I saw the people being asked not to take any pics of outside, so saying from my own experience.

You don:t need japanese to fill the form :) It just lists the numbers of pix you want to buy.

Penlight - you just take it from side stand. As for uchiwa - you can either tell the tour/name of idol or just point.

And a random new Johnnys shop rule: After you pay for your stuff and are waiting for them to get it, you must stand there holding the receipt visibly in your hand.
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 02:25 am (UTC)
Whoah O_O Why?
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 06:20 am (UTC)
so after filling up the form, you go to the payment counter then after you get the receipt go to another counter which has the pictures?

does the photos differ in price? last time it was around 175Yen?
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 07:20 am (UTC)
No, just stepping to the side of the counter as you wait is fine, but when they come back with the photos they will check the receipt again.

The photos are 150Yen each, and I noticed a couple places in the store they have a list of number of photos and how much it will cost to get them. Like 10 photos equal 1500Yen, and so on.
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 10:32 pm (UTC)
No, there's only one counter. You bring the form there, they ring it up, you pay, they give you the receipt. Then you stand there with the receipt while they actually go and GET all the pictures you bought.

All photos are 150yen.

you dont always have to stand in the waiting area....

Your icon is awesome. Do you know where it is from?
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 01:28 pm (UTC)
i took a screen cap from the report about the puzzle live in Tokyo :D
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 10:34 pm (UTC)
I'm not sure what waiting area you're talking about. But you need to stay at the counter after you pay and wait until they bring your items.
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 11:20 pm (UTC)
"waiting area" meaning to the left side of the register(if you're facing it). sometimes, when its busy, they make you wait there because they have runners... but other times, you just stand at the register and wait for them to bring you all of your things.

I haven't seen (or heard of) them doing that since about a year and a half ago, and even then it was just for about a month. It's probably not something anyone has to worry about.
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 07:27 am (UTC)
As you've been given a lot of instructions on how to get there already I'll just add some advice from my visits to the store. Go on a weekday, unless there's a concert in Tokyo on that day. But you should be able to avoid having to get a ticket that way, and the best hour I've found is the final hour the store is open from 6-7PM to go in, as that's when I've found it the least crowded.

Also for your trip in general it's getting cold in Tokyo so make sure you bring warm clothes, especially if you're unfortunate enough to experience a cold front during your time in Japan. One hit about a week ago and it was really cold for a few days.

I've been reading all these great replies since I'm going in the summer and I thought that I try to figure this all out now. I saw that you have to get a form and find the number of the picture. I'm guessing that you have to use multiple forms if your getting items from multiple groups?
