Curious about the 24 hout tv mascot

You know the little TV that Pixar designed and was on all the T shirts and we saw News go to see being made? It doesn't seem to be in the film :(. Does anyone know if Pixar changed their minds. It's seems strange because they had short films during 24 hour tv of the Zuzu tv character and now the film seems to be about an old man.

I could be wrong, but I believe Zuzu was created AFTER Pixar's movie UP! was released, which was back in May. As pointed out by someone before (sorry, I forgot who exactly), there is a pretty good chance that Zuzu was created not only for 24tv but also to promote Pixar's new film.

I think you got it wrong. The movie "Up" was never meant to be about "Zuzu" and for Pixar to change their mind at the last minute is unlikely. It takes at least two years to make an animation.

I agree, I believe I saw the movie promotions for UP! back in maybe late December or some time around then. The movie had been in production for a while-- even before pixar was asked to help make the shirts :)

Zuzu was created by Pixar as a mascot for 24Hr TV. It wasn't meant to be in UP! movie, which was released earlier.

zuzu (TV) was created for 24 Hour TV,
The old man (UP) was created for the UP movie.

the only similar things they used are balloons. Concept for 24 Hour TV was taken from UP movie, in order to promote their movie I guess. Just in time because I watched UP just before 24 Hour TV. :)

Well Japan doesn't get Up (and I forget what they renamed the movie to) until December, so it's rather early promotion for the movie.

Wow. Japan doesn't have UP even now? I watched it 2 months plus ago... well, I caught the movie preview so it was fairly earlier than the actual showing date. =X

It does look like they sneaked in a promo for Up which is where I got confused. We're only just getting it here too so some people got it really early.
