I'm planning to go to Japan next June, and me and my friends want to stalk JE boys possibly run into some certain Japanese celebrities. XD So my question is, does anyone know specifically the kinds of places they hang out? I mean, more specific than like "Shibuya" or something. Like what karaoke bar they go to, restaurants they eat at, that kind of stuff. Just places that we might have a greater chance of meeting some of them. (Particulary NEWS members, of course. :D) Thanks for any info anyone might have~

Haha, I don't know how long you've been studying Japanese, if you know those kanji or not. ^_^'' I'm glad you understand me though. ♥

Me and my friend even have a plan. If we run into a JE boy, we'll pretend like we're foreigners who are lost, but we'll act like we don't speak any Japanese, so they won't be able to give us directions, they'll have to take us to the place themselves, and since they're mostly nice guys, they'd do it, yes?

Probably won't happen, but we can dream. XD

yapyap. i m learning some basic jap in my school now. but feel that its quite insufficient to communicate with the locals. but oh well~~ hahaha. i can still understand simple simple simple kanji!! oh and have a dream to study in Jap uni for post grad studies also! think the dream will make me gambatte in school!

Heh, I've been studying Japanese for a little over a year now, and I am still so very very far from fluency... ^_^'' But yes, I need to motto ganbatte! I'm hoping to finish three years of Japanese altogether, if all goes as planned~ After that, I think I might be able to communicate decently. :D

Well, next June went I go to Japan, it's just gonna be a two-week vacation. But I think that after I graduate college next year (spring 2009), I might go teach English in Japan through the JET program. :D

1. Koyama's parents' restaurants (Kanagawa)
2. Aiba's family's restaurant (Chiba)
3. Ohkura's family's restaurant (main store is in Osaka)

Then, go around to all the universities:

- meiji (three campuses, yamapi is rumoured to be on the izumi campus, but I've seen him on the suruga campus as well - check both)

- waseda (although Tegoshi is on distance ed., he still shows from time to time)

- aoyama (you probably won't see Shige on campus, but he pops into the BLENZ around the corner sometimes after class.)

Go to Fuji terebi and you can tour the studios; it's possible to catch them filming if you are lucky. The admissions is very cheap.

I'm going to also say Shibuya just because Massu will literally shop there for hours by himself. Just look carefully, I guess. There is no certain stores he will stop in, but if he has the time, his first stop would probably be Shibuya.

As for karaoke bars, I can only say there are a couple of more famous ones in Tokyo, check them out. XD Can't give you more info. than that.

Yamapi likes a restaurant called "Matsuya" and I only know how to get there by shinkansen (sry)... But that was when he wasn't as popular, and it's near his highschool. I don't think he goes that often nowadays.

I always thought that someone who get to see them outside the shows/concerts are very very lucky person
but now I know you just have to put some effort looking for them in places

Yes, I do visit them periodically, but I don't live in Japan. :)
Just put effort into it, yes. ^^ Look carefully for filming schedules, keep up to date with their diary entries... observe drama scenes for filming places, etc. :D It's not luck, it's effort.

with the family restaurants. there might be the chance that you've eaten there without knowing it's [insert idol]'s family restaurant! XD

it always blows my mind how Massu can go shopping in Shibuya and not get mobbed. Sure he's not as famous as yamapi but to shop for hours like a normal person! but then people in shibuya are prob used to seeing celebs around and majority of japanese fangirls at most will just tail them and not glomp them or anything. XD i love 109 but Massu prob doesn't like it there, it's waayy too crowded with girls! ^o^

btw why wouldn't you see Shige on campus? I thought he goes to uni like everyday. :/
