Don't think anyone has posted this yet, but it seems like 2015's going to be a good year for Shige!
1. Regular on the new TBS morning show
The current morning show on TBS' 08:00 ~ 09:55 slot, Ippuku, which Massu is a regular on, is coming to the end of its run this Friday (Massu, otsukaresama!). It was announced a while back that Taichi-san (TOKIO) will continue working as the main host for the new show replacing Ippuku, and news of Shige being a regular on the new show was released yesterday. The title of the new show is "Hakunetsu Raibu Bibido" and Shige'll be appearing on Fridays, following Massu's current slot.
Other people involved include: Taichi-san's co-host Maya Miki, Okubo Kayoko (Monday regular), DAIGO (Tuesday), Nakata Atsuhiko (Wednesday), Chihara Junior (Thursday), Hiromi (Friday regular with Shige) and TBS announcers Inoue Takahiro & Yoshida Akiyo.
Shige's comment on TBS site:
I do feel some unease about being on a LIVE programme, but the fact that I'll be working on it together with a senior with plenty of experience brings me a lot of comfort. I'll work hard to create a programme that will be so interesting that everyone will lose track of time!! Everyone, please be careful not to be late for work or school!!
2. Short stories collection release
Johnny's net posted a little piece of news today, saying that Shige will be releasing a collection of short stories, titled "Kasa wo motanai aritachi" (Ants who don't carry umbrellas). This will be released on 1st Jun 2015 by publisher Kadokawa.
